When is the Open Mic?

Open mics are on Tuesdays IN PERSON. Please stay up to date on our socials for more info.

When should I get in line?

For live events, folks line-up around 7:30pm.

Do you accommodate singers/musicians/dancers/comedians?

Yes, as much as we can during open mic nights. You got 3 minutes.

Can I make a group reservation?

We love field trips! Please Contact Us ahead of time for groups of 15 or more for details and accommodations.

Is there parking?

Yes. Free parking in the gated school lot adjacent to the theatre.

Performing

Is there a time limit?

Yes, there is. You have 3 minutes.

Is there an age limit?

Nope. DPL is open to all ages. Our youngest performer was 6, and the eldest, 99.

Can I feature?

If you are interested in being a featured guest artist, then Contact Us with your contact information, short bio, and some links to your recent work (videos, writings, music, or a portfolio). If we decide to feature you, you will receive a response letting you know.

If I’m not in Los Angeles, can I perform remotely?

Yes! We love our global community. If you are outside of California, you can tap in remotely to perform on our IG LIVE open mic nights.

Can I do a group piece?

Yes. Group pieces are awesome! The 3-minute rule still applies.

Do poems have to be memorized?

You don’t have to memorize your poems. You can read off paper/tablet/cellphone/napkin/hand, whatever you prefer.
